WELCOME To Clear Lake Evangelical Free Church

We are glad you are interested in getting to know more about our church. CLEFC is simply a growing group of area residents who love the Lord Jesus and serve the community together in His name. We believe that He is the most important person who ever lived and that anybody can benefit greatly, and eternally, by getting to know Him. Everything we do is motivated by these values. Every CLEFC leader stands ready to help you take next steps in your personal or family spiritual journey.

What to expect when you arrive

The worship service will begin at 9:30 am. It will consist of a warm welcome and a few brief announcements, musical worship, prayer by one of our leaders, the reading of a scripture passage, and a pastor's message about the scripture. The service will conclude at about 10:45 am. Communion is offered as part of the service on the first Sunday of each month.

Afterward, you are welcome to linger for refreshments and conversation. You may also remain for the 11:00 Sunday school hour. Classes are offered for all ages.

We hope you will come some Sunday soon and experience what this loving congregation has to offer. Our long name might be confusing, so allow us to explain…

“Clear Lake” - is the easiest part. However, we don’t serve just one city. Area towns are represented among our congregants.

“Evangelical” - This term implies two things: 1) Gospel-Centered; highly valuing personal engagement with and application of the Good News of Jesus Christ, as revealed in the Holy Bible. 2) Outreaching; concerned about and committed to meeting needs and helping others love and follow Him.

“Free” - Though we’re part of a nationwide network of congregations called the Evangelical Free Churches of America (EFCA), we are free locally to determine our own direction as led by God’s Spirit through local leaders (elders). However, our affiliation with the EFCA provides very valuable resourcing and accountability.

“Church” - We are one local expression of a global movement of millions of Jesus-followers.

How can we help you?

Please contact the church office or any CLEFC leader with your questions or just to get better acquainted.
